In the job listings, you can find a matching project and send a proposal — including your price and a short message.

You can also send a free direct offer to a client's profile in the marketplace — in this case you provide an estimated budget and a message.

Only one pending offer can be sent to a given client at a time. You can chat within the offer thread until the client responds.

If the client accepts the offer, a contract is created automatically and you move into the workroom.
